Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC) is committed to delivering a well-rounded, and transformational education experience. Living on campus in a multicultural community, with room-mates from across the world, students quickly learn to understand and respect each other’s cultures and differences. In terms of schooling, students not only benefit from a rigorous academic curriculum that allows them to pursue their passions, but are also actively engaged in Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) activities that allow them to explore world issues, diverse cultures, and peace- and sustainability-related topics.
This year, 119 students graduated from LPCUWC, obtaining an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. From the official provisional results for the IB Diploma 2018, compared to the world average of 10% (in May 2017), 24% of our 2018 graduates received 40 or more Diploma points out of a maximum of 45 points. One student achieved 44 points and three others achieved 43 points.
We would like to congratulate each of our 119 graduates of Class of 2018, all of whom have made their special mark in the LPCUWC community, and beyond. In overcoming many personal obstacles and challenges, every student should be proud of their individual successes and achievements over the past two years. It has been an honour to witness the development and transformation of our students to young leaders and change-makers, and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
